29th Book of the Year

Of Kindness and Kilowatts by @susankayequinn.bsky.social

4.5 ⭐

This is the 3rd in the Nothing is Promised series. What I love is how family is one of the themes of the book. Yes, it deals with a climate crises, and I love the science behind it, but I love the people more.

28th Book of the Year

Atomic Habits by James Clear

I normally don't read self help books, but I must say I needed to listen to this. It explained why I self sabatoge. Not because I want to, but because I don't have a good system in place to start.

The Frugal Wizard's Handbook For Surviving Medieval England

4⭐

First ever Brandon Sanderson novel and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd love to see more of these characters, but from what I saw announced I doubt I will. Man is a machine.

I mainly lean towards fantasy. The one on the left has YA. Under the stuffie is where my collection really begins. I have Stephen King and Brandon Sanderson shelves on the left. I'm currently filing up the middle. I go to Barnes and Noble Wednesday.

Funny! Funny and absurd and completely ridiculous BUT also sweet and nerve-wracking. I'm buying my own copy so I'll have something to give people who want dumb yet moving.

We need something like this for the South East.

Or, more specifically, the Metro Atlanta area.

Really fun book. Loved the premise. Fun fact! The author, Rupert Holmes, is the Piña Colada song guy.

17th Book of the Year

3.25 ⭐

For whatever reason, Colson Whitehead had his black characters using the hard r. We don't do that. I switched to the audiobook where the narrator used our usual colloquialism. That's why it's 3.25 and not just 3.

The Borant Co. is pissing me off. I almost stopped reading because I was so irritated by this fictional company. Still a really good book.

Carl's Doomsday Scenario

4.25 ⭐

It's not as good as the first. Still a fun read. Princess Donut is still fabulous. I feel like...🤷🏾‍♀️ I like the idea of quests. Grimaldi's circus showed just how smart Carl actually is.
