Maine GOP gubernatorial candidate Bobby Charles is calling for Trump to send the National Guard to Lewiston. It's a sickening stunt, but sadly typical of this racist blowhard.

Ten years ago, my friend @paulfordnc.bsky.social and I were the first people to protest inside one of Donald Trump's campaign rallies.

Now I'm continuing that fight by running for the Maine House of Representatives. As a state lawmaker, I'll always stand up for our democracy and the rule of law.

It's worth noting there is only one New England contender to serve as chair of the national Democratic Party, Jason Paul from Massachusetts. He's a longshot, but there aren't that many in the race.
I know him a little but that shouldn't be held against him.
