so I think the name is horrible and we can do way better, but here's my doodle for what a new transit system logo could be

(obviously whatever it becomes, it won't be this, as it's too chicago-centric / "unfair" to suburbs, but I think contiguity w/ existing CTA iconography is actually a strength)
a logo for an as-yet nonexistent transit agency, the north illinois transit authority. the logo is highly similar to the cta's present logo and is in fact a hatchet job redo of the current CTA logo in illustrator in 10 mins. The logo retains the blue circle with red outer and thinner white inner border, as well as the italisised humanist type of the agency intials in white and lowercase. the tittle on the i of nita is a sheared chicago 6 pointed star, the kind seen on the chicago flag.

went for a redistricting bike ride today and it was jarring to drink in all the disparity and disinvestment all inside of Walter Burnett’s ward. really cool convos, community engagement, and some endorphins too.
