and that logical conclusion isn’t so far-fetched i don’t think. the richest, most powerful people on earth seem to subscribe to ideologies that plot this basic route. everything they do tends toward the efficient snuffing out of embodied human life, and a replacing it with a disembodied simulacrum

in short, grandma on phone is cheaper than grandma on life support or grandma in assisted living or grandma in hospice. or perfectly healthy grandma on social security and enjoying retirement!

but beyond that is the idea that, if you can exploit people for profit after they’re dead for less (no labor laws, no material needs that need met) than you can profit off them while they’re alive, then reducing human lifespan is good business
