Would it not be unusual for a mid-series episode of a game show to be reviewed by a newspaper? The critics were pretty sniffy re the Golden Shot generally so probably not admitting to watching in any event. I suspect The Times of 1967 would have considered a bit too lowbrow to merit reporting!

Fantastic! The Cheers opening titles have always had that familiarity of a comfort blanket but to now know some of the background is great.

That sounds like the version that was on Chumbawamba’s unreleased Jesus H Christ album (which featured MC Fusion from Credit to the Nation). The album is on You Tube.

A massively pleasing performance all round. Grimbsy were made to look ordinary. Probably a shame that there's now a gap before the next league game - it would have been nice to take try to create some momentum from this performance.
