If we don’t take in problematic pieces of media in history, we will repeat them.
There are plenty of ways to acquire media that don’t involve paying the original author/estate.

In situations like this I always weigh… can I outweigh some of the bad with my taking in the media?

I can see the similarities and differences in Moonraker (which is admittedly a film not intended to be totally serious) but the subject matter is so dark, it is probably good they gave us a laser fight in space and a Jaws romance.
