Would you believe me if I told you that James Rowbottom is on track to break the record for most tackles in an AFL season? 12 rounds in, and he's at 103 tackles, averaging nearly 9 a game. Tackles are a great indicator of how hard-working a player is, so James definitely deserves the recognition.

Accuracy is a funny thing in the AFL. At one point in Sydney's game against Fremantle, the Dockers were 2.14 and the Swans were 10.0. It was Will Haywards' best game of the season with 4 goals (plus 2 tackles, one of which is featured in the image below).

2024 has been Isaac Heeney's year. After a poor 2023 season, he's currently the clear favourite to win the Brownlow medal. Heeney is averaging 27 disposals and 2 goals a game, elite numbers that the AFL hasn't seen for some time. As Sydney Swans supporters, let's all cheer him on to win it.

Sydney weren't able to get the win this week, but there were still some great takeaways from the match. Logan McDonald continues to improve his skills in the full-forward position, bagging 3 goals, at 100% accuracy. James Rowbottom wouldn't let Richmond have easy possessions, recording 13 tackles.

Sydney displayed an amazing performance against a strong Melbourne side at the SCG, in the first match of the season. Hayden McLean and Will Hayward helped the forwardline with 2 goals each, while Chad Warner starred in the midfield, picking up 26 disposals and kicking a goal.
