Old boomer, 50 years in the workforce, retired, living in the Australian sub-tropics. Well travelled, pet-free, although I love dogs, cats and apparently mushrooms. I also watch American politics in the same way I'd watch a slow moving train wreck.

I can't imagine that anyone who's donated funds for this desecration will now want their name etched anywhere on it in stone. The pox on them!

It looks fabulous and it always tastes better when you don't still hold the smell of cooking it.

It will give the American public something to pull down when he's deposed. Remember Saddam Hussein's monuments? It will be the first thing to go.

I obviously misunderstood what he meant when he said "America first".

I couldn't identify one Taylor Swift song, but she seems like a really nice person, and from the perspective of someone living overseas, she's a wonderful US ambassador. You all should be proud of her.

In Australia, the prosecution can appeal if they consider the sentence too lenient. I don't think it's very common, but it does happen.
October 5, 2025 at 4:31 AM
I would like to know whether the prosecutors have a right to appeal the leniency of the sentence. Do you know Amy?

It found a safe spot under the car of someone it knew wouldn't pull it up. That's one mighty intuitive mushroom.

Pasta with pumpkin roasted in a little garlic oil then pulsed with coconut milk, and tossed with toasted pine nuts.

Rebel, it's time to learn how to cook. Fresh vegetables taste fabulous when they're home cooked, and YouTube will teach you, step by step.

My first experience of poppyseed cake was an apricot sour cream cake and it was to die for. Maybe you haven't lived yet.

Rose petal jam is delicious, so perhaps rose hips are good too.

President Duterte of the Philippines believed he could just randomly execute drug dealers, but when he lost the election, his successors, the Marcos family, bundled him into a plane and posted him to the Hague. He has been charged with crimes against humanity. You're next Donald.

Aaww. Poor little diddums. No buddies to tell him he's a POS.

I craved aniseed for months prior to being diagnosed with bowel cancer. The explanation for it was that I was anemic, which often results in cravings. An oncology nurse suggested that it may explain cravings in some pregnancies.

We know what's wrong with him. The problem is how to get rid of him.

He's bored rigid as he doesn't understand tennis, but it's an ideal time to contemplate why they all booed him.

It has always puzzled me that my father's head, which was incapable of growing hair, was able to produce vast quantities of hair from his ears. Was that its only escape?
