Most importantly we need to figure out how to be happy and share it.

We need these connections to cultivate life outside of these tools we’ve grown reliant on to feel important, heard, and seen.

I admire what @aoc.bsky.social has done here which is to acknowledge human needs outside of {this sphere} and connect the experience of the digital realm to real life.

The social media climate relies on activating the base-ist instincts within us all. As a person who relies on the medium for work I regularly grapple with the tension between: simplicity + clarity and the nuances of what is needed to promote positive change. What people want vs what is needed.

As an observer and reactor I struggle to find content that is helpful instead of harmful - but also am intimately aware of what does well and what doesn’t. It’s grim!
