My speech in the House of Commons today about housing.

I have written today to the Minister of Infrastructure in support of the temporary suspension of roadworks in Derry during the O'Neills Foyle Cup

It is baffling how there was suspension for The Open, an event which was hosted 40 miles out of the city, and not one for the Foyle Cup.

I pledged to fight for Votes at 16 — and it’s happening. I’m so proud to have played a part in making it a reality, alongside so many passionate Youth Parliament members. This is a huge win for young voices. Grateful, proud, and ready for what’s next. 💪

The Courts ruling around the A5 upgrade is deeply disappointing.

Building the A5 is a vital infrastructure upgrade that would, create jobs, reduce journey times and most importantly- save lives.

While this ruling is a setback, I welcome the Minister’s assurance that the A5 will be built.

This is such an important message, which I think all of us need to pay special attention to and reflect on.
