I absolutely would love to listen in. It’s so easy to fall into “seeing is believing” and I think we can all practice thinking critically more often

This is the reality for so many of my clients because of the “get trained quick” language. All this to say, if you’ve found yourself working with someone who prioritizes dominance and force… you are not alone.

So now I’m called with a veterinary behaviorist, we have some great conversations about the fallout of using punitive methods and dog social skills 101, but only time will tell if this dog can stay with this family.

The client paid a lot of money to send 1 dog to a board and train for 3 weeks. The dog came back last week skinny, sores on the paws, elbows, and a skin condition. The dog learned some things but all behavior is dependent on a shock/e-collar (US based).
