That's right. To some extent, inaction is tantamount to complicity. If the situation reaches a worrying level and no one in the cabinet or party leadership takes action, that says it all.

Disturbingly, the mainstream media is almost unwilling to confront the consequences. When military escalation involves NATO, there is no such thing as a controllable conflict, especially when credibility and alliance relations are at stake.
