I've been practicing with Stasis, and I'm finding the more I do, the less proficient I become with my Light powers.

Is this some kind of self-reinforcing feedback loop with Darkness based powers?

Using my Light based powers doesn't weaken my skill with Darkness, so something weird is happening.

The Pale Heart of the Traveller contains many places and memories of places, tucked away inside.

While on patrol, I found myself in a familiar location: the Radiant Forest.

It was strange being here in the memory of this place, knowing full-well that the original still exists on my homeworld.

At the end of a long year, it's nice to spend a few weeks back in the last city. I usually use this time to do my taxes and insurance bill for the year.

This year, I'm also donating a bunch of old stuff to charity or to the museum, depending on how rare, dangerous, or important the item is.

Did you know that all Vanguard operatives are required to carry a 1-month supply of rations and medical supplies while on duty?

These things don't last forever, so when they're nearly expired, we're allowed to use them as we see fit: charity or recreation use are the most common use cases.

Another Braytech space station at the center of yet another crisis.

At this point I'm in favour of de-orbiting all of the remaining ones and asking Clovis some very pointed questions.

The Vanguard should open an investigation into other Braytech programmes, just in case something else pops up.

There are some really old war machines in bunkers all across Mars. They were all part of the Warmind network, until Rasputin sacrificed himself.

I did find a bunker that was in stand-by mode, about 300km south of Hellas Basin. There's a training ground on-site, so I can practice Prismatic skills.

Journeying into the Pale Heart of the Traveller certainly is not easy. As beautiful as it is here, there's some distinctly unsettling imagery going on.

However, I learned how to fuse light and dark together and I can now use a whole spectrum of power!

It's like a second, faster type of Super.

Turns out that switch was NOT for the lights. On the upside, we now know what the security alarm sounds like. Things went from 0 to 100 real quick.

I haven't been on enough Cabal Heavy War Cruisers to know how everything works, but... I do recognise a fuel line when I see one.

Wish me luck 😉

The shipyard at the tower is OK... but the ones at the Awoken Reef are so much better. Don't tell Amanda I said that.

It's not just the service deck either, but the tools and the diagnostics software, too. Make sense for a space-faring civilisation.

That said, their cafeterias suck.

The European Dead Zone has a surprising amount of life in its lakes and rivers. The Baltic Sea and North Sea also have plenty of ship wrecks to explore and treasures to find.

Water vessels tend to have old-earth artefacts, and space vessels usually have salvageable tech. Mostly, it's trash though.

Weapon maintenance is an essential part of downtime as a Guardian. I've enrolled in some gunsmith classes from Banshee-44, and gotten some tips from The Drifter as well.

That's all well and good when you have a well-stocked repair station, but I need to get field-repair lessons from Shiro-4, too.

The best thing about Crucible matches is that you get to have a massive party after the match.

Lord Shaxx uses sponsorship money to pay for venues, food, and drinks. Generally, the losing team gets to choose the venue.

Lord Saladin and Saint-14 don't take sponsorships, so... no parties after. 😞

Would you look at that! I managed to make a stabilised plasma ball from the beginnings of a Solar Grenade! Why? Turns out that my ghost, Amaranth, isn't very good at making light where I need it.

This way, I have light in the darkest places, and if something jumps out at me, well... grenade 😉

The region around the Black Pyramid Ship in Savathûns throne world exhibits bizarre phenomena.

The darkness resonance builds in waves and crescendos as a pulsing headache, just behind the eyes.

Just when it's getting debilitating, it abruptly stops, with the faint whine of tinnitus remaining.

Oh yeah! Mars, bay-bee!! It's good to be back, especially now that the Escaltion Protocol sites are offline.

The last time I was here, my fireteam spent 3 days cracking an ordnance vault in the Dust Palace. Turns out it was a mislabelled Exotics cache.

Anyway, that's how I got my Icebreaker.

Stupid bloody jump-drive...

"Would I sell you a faulty piece of kit? Drifters gonna need a res next time I see him...

Now I gotta trek halfway across Europe, ON FOOT, because it shorted out the transmat system and my Sparrow is dumped in the overload buffer...

Yay. Now Variks has to save my ass.

Securing the Morningstar space station, and locating the Deep Stone Crypt server... it was going so well until the Fallen turned up.

And then Tankis, again...

On the upside, Rasputin has since granted access to the Warsat network and provided us some powerful hardware, like the Revision Zero.

There was a time that we ruled the Plaguelands with an Iron-lord fist, and the Splicers couldn't withstand our might.

Now, Siva is all but a distant memory, along with those responsible for its creation.

I miss Felwinter Peak...
