Summer flowers in my garden. The weather was extremely dreich yesterday, so it's lovely to be outdoors today. The sun hasn't appeared yet, but it's been dry. Phew.

Just finished reading this fabulous book, 'Slow trains to Venice' by Tom Chesshyre. A wonderful slow trip through familiar and unfamiliar parts of Europe, culminating in that arrival in Venice and that view of the Grand Canal.
