People keep using that one quote to insinuate he was way out of line, and maybe he was, but the quote indicates he knows its a problem and also that he "wants" to. He doesn't say I love being a coach because I can always direct our head coach how to play. Agree its a role that requires balance.

I didn't want Amorim fired but what is a director of football supposed to do if he feels the coach isn't executing the clubs vision? Many have wanted some stability that runs deeper than each manager. Presumably is the director role that does that.

Don't worry Tom, we're gonna be amazing as soon as we switch from Amorim's terrible back 5 to a back 4 and get Mainoo back in the team. Its so obvious!

This is unfortunately true of all movies these days. I honestly don't know how there hasnt been a lawsuit for hearing loss.

Was listening to talk of the devil's and Andy Mitten was very high on his work ethic, attention to detail and pure love of soccer analysis. Said he was blown away by how much he saw in one game of football.

I'd think all our new signings who bought into Amorim's vision are absolutely dismayed they joined this circus. And Bruno wondering why he hadn't learned his lesson and gone to a real club.

So frustrating man. Even if we just got mount and mainoo back it would make a huge impact. To lose them plus Bruno during the afcon period is just absurd.

I think they've placed enough young bets (players like obi, heaven, Leon, dorgu) and now only want mbeumo, cunha level signings. Tough to do in January. Our squad feels too thin due to afcon.

I've always felt if we turn the year in the top 6 we'll finish strong, maybe 4 or 5. The fixtures really start to add up in the 2nd half for teams in europ3 and our brand new front 3 will have settled into tighter patterns of play.

I'm glad to hear there's no panic, and we'll do something only if it accelerates the long term plan. Of course I want to see at least a solid midfielder though...
