Last week, ICE arrested and separated a father and son after a routine check-in. Six-year-old Yuanxin had just enrolled in the first grade at an elementary school in Astoria. Now he's in custody, alone. ICE won't say where. This cruelty serves no one. It must end.

My family isn’t anti queer so much as anti conflict. In a patriarchal family in the midst of a white nationalist culture, queerness is by definition and existence a conflict.
I miss my family.
But, truly, the toxicity of the gaslit rejection is overwhelming.

The new Smithsonian envisioned by this regime will teach our grandchildren that the First Nations gave their lands freely to the Europeans and that the shackled captives from Africa were volunteers. But a cute face on a pile of shit doesn’t change the rancid smell or the festering bacteria.
