December 16, 2024 at 1:18 PM
yay for new job/no commute! the other stuff gets better (eventually ;)
at least that’s what they keep telling me. how is it going being home to work?
December 14, 2024 at 12:14 PM
not sure i have ‘the’ answer but those locked up cabinets aren’t it!
December 1, 2024 at 1:33 PM
have you seen a fair number are going back to checkers b/c they have more loss w/self-check? i can’t be sympathetic, they did it to themselves. costco near me has this weird hybrid system - they call it self-check but staff w/hand scanner does it in yr cart. actually faster, less effort.
December 1, 2024 at 1:31 PM
i can certainly understand trying to prevent loss but holy crap. cost of the cabinets alone would be crazy, restocking would take a lot of employee time, loss of impulse buys … i wonder if they get some kind of tax break for having a store in certain areas or same for store closing.
December 1, 2024 at 1:25 PM
holy crap. plus their one employee is at the cash register, so how’s this gonna work?
December 1, 2024 at 5:22 AM
so far it’s ok. challenging to go from expert to novice with anything, and boy howdy. newplace being way more supportive than i expected, which is what is making it do-able. 🤞🤞 we’ll see after orientation ;)
November 27, 2024 at 7:21 PM
new job w/schedule all over. i have no clue about when/what day etc. i feel this.
November 27, 2024 at 1:28 PM
otoh my brother has been completely wfh for ~10 yrs & i don’t think he could go back. he likes just not having to people.
hybrid might be best of both for you. 🤷‍♀️
November 27, 2024 at 1:25 PM
so happy this is working out for you. i vote hybrid trial too (not that it matters or counts ;)
see how it goes w/a timeline (& headphones to deal w/all the potential distractions/noise in yr apt).
November 27, 2024 at 1:24 PM
wahoo to no new dishwasher!
November 24, 2024 at 6:22 PM
yippee!!!
November 20, 2024 at 4:29 AM
omg agree. pick one fgs.
November 19, 2024 at 11:44 AM
smart. guy at dealership basically helped me set up most of it afternoon i picked it up, but i keep finding new things 🙄. do like the hybrid tho, ~40 mpg for an SUV seems pretty good :)
