My name is Khary & I’m a survivor of gun violence. My mom, Joyce, took her own life w a gun on 9-8-79. I was just a toddler, too young to remember the sound of her voice telling me she loved me. Her tragic decision was influenced by the easy access she had to a gun, rather than to mental health care

I share your story. My father, I was 14. He'd still be here with proper mental health treatment (he was a combat vet), and if he didn't have easy access to a gun. It's something a child never recovers from. Bless you.
