Totally agreed for BI components, its just not worth to manage uptime and concurrency with hundreds of users.

My 2 cents: OSS definitely works in industries with traditional and long buying cycles. Where adoption and ROI becomes a key indicator before large commitment.
OSS gives enough time to data teams to prove these points before fighting the uphill battle for budgets and procurement.
