My Dead Friend Zoe (2024)
An interesting concept though very flawed in its execution. While it was made to promote a specific message, it struggles to know what kind film it wants to be supernatural, romantic comedy or social issue. 5/10

Civil War (2024)
On one hand, it is technically amazing with good and beautiful visuals, on on the other, it is trying real hard to be provocative and push audiences' buttons. A road-trip, disaster type of film where, for me, from the first 15 minutes I could tell

The Son of a Thousand Men (O Filho de Mil Homens) (2025)
A fantasy type,Brazilian film based off a book weaves an interconnectedو strange stories into a feelgood, heartwarming film. Good directing using good framing and beauty shots but the material can get tiresome towards the middle.

Hairspray (1988)
A fun film almost satirizing the 60s dance films with a great cast mix from Devine playing two roles to Sonny Bono, Jerry Stiller, Debbie Harry and even John Waters himself. Great writing, hilarious with caricature performances.

After The Hunt (2025)
Not a bad movie nor a great one either, the best I can describe it to be a Luca Guadagnino doing a Woody Allen film with The Hunt premise. It can feel overly long as it tries to cram so much ideas into it while some strange decisions

Although I don't mind watching bad films. I had two films I was unable to complete because they were utterly ridiculous and felt like a complete waste of time. I apologize to those mentioned in advance.

All of Us Strangers (2023)
Good directing and atmosphere where, for me, it felt like After Sun in trying to come to terms with the past. Lots of ambiguity for the story build up but didn't enjoy the direction it went to for its conclusion.

The Caveman's Valentine (2001)
A decent, interesting idea for crime mystery film but the execution could have been better as the constant flashbacks and moth dance inserts can feel distracting but as always Samuel Jackson put on a good performance. 6/10

The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (2025)
As expected from a remake, suffers from lazy writing going through the similar story while lacking emotions, thus being ultimately unnecessary. Predictable, forced and very implausible actions from certain characters to serve the story it wants to present. 4/10

Who Do I Belong To (ماء العين) (2024)
Beautiful cinematography and directing with a colorful interesting cast but let down by a nonsensical story that is overly mysterious and a pacing that can be very challenging.

Mantis (Samagwi) (2025)
I had a hard time enjoying this film as the script felt messy, with a lot of information given not delivered properly. Trying to be too serious and funny, at the same time while having an overload of dialog, in some parts.

The Ballad of Wallis Island (2025)
A nice film taking on a quirky, comedic, charming feel type but it tends to takes things over the top, at times. Good cinematography making use of the beautiful looks of the place but the comedy feels overused through the character Charlie's

A Widow's Game (La Viuda Negra) (2025)
A nice Spanish crime drama, based on real events, where we see an investigation from three different perspectives. The first half drags a bit with a bit of melodrama but it slowly improves into the second half.

Smoke (1995)
Stories within stories in this film that revolves around a tobacco shop. Beautiful, heartfelt and almost poetic film touching upon a disappear culture with a splendid cast of then well known and others up and coming who are now famous talents.

Good directing with talented cast, but it is let down with a script that is lacking and pacing issues that makes the film drags.

The Alto Knights (2025)
It had a good story but the execution wasn't strong. The writing seemed under developed, dialog uninteresting nor new or different from what we've seen before and the narration felt overused.
