Au femmes d’ici et d’ailleurs, que vous soyez cisgenre ou transgenre : nous vous soutenons, sans condition.

(EN version) Only two municipalities in New Brunswick have an English and a French name: Grand Falls (FR: Grand-Sault) and Caissie Cape (FR: Cap-des-Caissies).
Caution: Another town named Grand Falls exists in Newfoundland and Labrador; and this one does not translate at all!

Yeah, OQLF's opposition in this case is wholly based on morphology, not usage, since this is a neologism. Termium Plus is not a prescriptive source, and is instead focused on industry-side usage, which is affected by foreign imports. I am from Quebec, we don't say "fauxmage".

The late early is a beautiful oxymoron, though!

Nightmarishly so.

I'm working on a Call of Cthulhu 7e scenario set in 1944 Quebec, and revolving around the War Disease Control Center of Grosse Île, where Canada, the US and the UK once researched to produce bioweapons in WWII. #callofcthulhu #history #ttrpg

From my understanding, Copilot is either part of your Office license or not. We likely got "grandfathered" in, and new buyers need to chose wether they get the license with copilot or without (the latter costing less, but losing some functionalities)

He's been joking about annexing Canada if we don't play nice with his tarriffs. *sigh*

My wife is unilingual francophone, and I've lost count of the number of times I had to explain I was laughing at an English pun that I can't repeat in French.

There are! I've spent the last two years back in Uni to learn some new skills. Now that I'm done, I can resume TTRPG work. Woo!

Nice seeing you here, Zaddy! Looking forward to some quality TTRPG posts again!

The real question here is: What slot level was used to cast Magic Missiles into that candy bar?

I love it!

Clients also often underestimate the advantages of having an editor that checks their sources, too! Beyond formatting issues, I often run into mistitled or misattributed works, or corrupt hyperlinks, when editing papers.

Beyond podcasting, I feel publishers releasing audiobooks should also provide these guides to narrators. Nothing more jarring than switching narrators between books, and the pronunciation being completely new.

Science articles databases are a treasure trove when looking for specific usages in a discipline. Sometimes I have two valid options, but neeed to pinpoint what's actually used by experts in a set context. I second GS :D

I copyedit and also create TTRPG content. Would be happy to help you, or at least connect on the app :)

Reminds me of 2e psionic duels, where minds would wrestle together! No immunity, but rather, an increased depth to attack and defense.

Thank you! This seems like a very complete read. I have to work with Facebook for a bilingual client, that 100 character limit is really a hassle when you need to provide two versions!
