Paul was one of the people responsible for splitting Christianity from Judaism. It wasn't clear in the early days whether followers of Jesus should be Jews. It's not that anything was necessitated as much as that's what his project was. The version that allowed gentiles spread for obvious reasons.

DHS should never have been created, same for the NSA. They ought to be dismantled.

One of my favorites in the series. I grew up with the original Pokémon Red.

I'm a programmer with very little gui/art experience and I'm using kivy for my deckbuilding game. It's pretty easy if you have experience with css. It's not as good a fit for animation-heavy games though.

I don't know if the implication is that ChatGPT hated its own work or was moved to tears by it, but either possibility is funny

The flip side is that disgust is cultural. It's possible to recognize one's own disgust as irrational and work past it, food being a good example. You can't just decide to have different taste in food but you can change it over time. Men disgusted by leg hair can work on themselves and need to do so

It's assuredly not an easy problem to solve but we can move the needle by normalizing and celebrating natural bodies. Men in particular need to be intentional about this. We can't control what we find attractive but we can control what we give our attention to and how we talk about beauty.

American culture socializes people to be attracted to unnatural appearances. It affects straight men the worst. I think this is also true in other cultures and historically (e.g. modern Korean eye surgery trend, weird Victorian beauty standards). But since it's cultural, we're not stuck with it.

It's not enough that there are "good cops." These "good cops" may conduct themselves well in their job, but they have a responsibility in moments of crisis like this to do more. They need to be making a BIG DEAL about this. Cops can't be letting other cops stand idly by. There's no neutral position.

For sure, I was more commenting on Trump's cognitive decline. He wouldn't have been a competent president back then either though.

I'm not sure if this is a joke or not. I have a lot of respect for Chomsky's early work in formal languages but he's not a good guy. Not the kind of public intellectual we want.
