Ah thanks Daryl! Hope you enjoy it 👍
Thrilled to receive "Hammer Goes to Hell: The House of Horror's Unmade Films" by @kfoster.bsky.social.

It's been on my radar since attending the virtual launch organised by the BAFTSS Horror SIG in 2023.

Happily the paperback release coincided with my sister asking "What would you like for Xmas?"

Scary to see the PCC come under threat from parasitic landlords. Sign their petition here:

Some of you may have read about the situation regarding our new landlord wishing to add a new redevelopment break clause, with only 6 months notice to our lease.

For now, we're simply asking you all to share & sign the petition below;

Reposting this for the Monday procrastinators! #filmsky #wolfman @theconversation.com
Was very happy that the release of ‘Wolf Man’ this weekend gave me an excuse to write briefly about my cinematic passion: Universal’s disastrous Dark Universe. Thank you to @theconversation.com for having me!

Wolf Man and the curse of the Universal Monsters franchise
Wolf Man promises to be a contemporary, stripped-back retelling of one of Universal’s most iconic characters.

This looks like a cross between Cabin in the Woods and Happy Death Day which is an absolutely top combo in my books. Very nice way of folding in the mechanics of the originally game.

A festive Friday the 13th! To celebrate here’s maybe the closest we’ll get to @shannonandswift.bsky.social’s amazing remake sequel idea of Jason at a snowy/frozen camp crystal lake - The excellent fan film ‘Never Hike in the Snow’ by Womp Stomp Films

Great thread. The article discussed pinged for me too in its bluntness and Caspar is spot on as to why it, and the issues it discusses, are significant to all moviegoers.

Looking at cinema listings/events for Christmas, ‘The Polar Express’ looks to have firmly entered the ‘essential Christmas movie’ canon. I feel like when it came out it wasnt received well. Has it been rehabilitated? What do people think of it? #Filmsky #christmas #christmasmovie

There are currently only 22 films streaming on Netflix made before 1980 and not a single one made before 1960, with the oldest film on the platform currently being PSYCHO. I know I’m a broken record but: buy physical media, support your local library, etc etc

Still blows my mind that not only can I pick up an alternate cut of Halloween 6 off my shelf to watch whenever, but that it’s lovely restored in 4K. What a time to be alive.
