And so, they parted ways, only to meet again, as enemies.

The two stayed together for a short while. It was a fleeting connection, perhaps, but it made Ashe briefly believe that Varka might be different from the other Ursine.

Because she seemed lucid—someone Ashe could actually communicate with.

They had met before Ashe’s engagement to Tryn—back when supplies were running low and she decided to hunt outside. But instead, she was attacked by the Ursine, and Varka ended up saving her—though unintentionally.
