Well, sadly it seems some of my neighbors have made the choice to run those two steps back. I am sorry for them. And us. But fortunately, one way or the other, time moves forward and not backward, so they can run back but time will move on regardless.

Seems if the order of the day is to eliminate any trace of the diversity that made America the nation it is, or allow room for, and show the full context of this Nation in its true bloody, shameful, struggling, glorious, powerful history, as well as the promise of justice and freedom for the future?

Then we’d hear a lot of, “We are working on the logistics of executing that order as quickly as possible… blah… blah… blah…” and it would take them a few decades to come up with a plan to figure out how to begin to approach implementing it.

The purge of anything **gasp** “gay” in the military, including pictures and information about the Enola Gay. Not the best chapter in American history, but scrubbing references to the Enola Gay? Freaking morons.

The Black Lives Matter Plaza mural destroyed after the DC mayor was held hostage over city funding by the federal government (to whom they pay taxes but have no representation i.e. “Taxation Without Representation”)

The history of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team has been removed from the U.S. Army’s official website and the plaques dedicated to them at Schofield Barracks removed overnight.

Their personal insecurities, unquestioning willingness - and even glee - to follow orders is stunning.

It is truly amazing to me that it takes decades of work, pain and struggle to take one step forward, yet we have some many people in the federal government who are eager and chomping at the bit to run those two steps back.
