If they were still widely used by players from back in the day, maybe I would understand a prestige argument. But no. No one uses these anymore. I'm not saying everyone should get free access to them, either, but at least give players who hit elite in current season a token to spend on legacy stuff.

And I know people will definitely come at me saying "Oh muh prestige" but sweetheart, I have not seen any of these colourations used by players since I began playing in BfA. The only way I know of their existence is the vendor who sells them - if you hit the rating back during Legion.

Not to mention how little sense this makes when you (a warrior) run the halls of valor/trial of valor dungeon & raid. Or all of Stormheim. This wouldn't be an issue if Odyn had no idea who you were and you needed to prove your might but... Clearly he -does- know you. He brought you to his afterlife.

Then Warrior order hall comes along, dudes that just crave battle with blades and armor... And somehow their order hall is them... unceremoniously getting blown to bits by a pit lord and brought into the afterlife of the Vrykul to serve Odyn? It felt like such a mismatch of class fantasy vs ingame.

I always imagined it'd be cool if the warrior order hall was like this large tavern/brawlers guild off the coast on an island nearby, attracting the mightiest warriors to test their mettle. I loved the rogue/hunter order halls thematically for being really down-to-earth much like the class fantasy.

For those curious, this is what the result was before shading was done. I still like it, but today has shown me that it does really work to elevate the piece in a positive way, at least in my own opinion.
