Can I interest you in a keytar? The greatest advancement in music since the invention of sound waves.
I’m not much of a fan of campaigns but I am really enjoying Earthborne Rangers from @earthbornegames.bsky.social. I was finally able to get to some of the new locations from the Spire in Bloom expansion. I got hassled by some obnoxious peddlers and then bothered by some crows. #boardgames

Got clobbered by the solo bot in a game of Carson City. A worker placement game where you can have shootouts for spots and steal your opponents income. It’s very different but much better at multiplayer.

We finally got around to playing the trick-taking game, Rebel Princess, by @beziergames.bsky.social. Each round has unique rules and each player has a distinct princess character with asymmetric abilities. The goal: don’t win princes. I need more plays to work out a strategy.

Spots is an adorable press your luck dice game from CMYK games. Don’t take it very seriously, and you’ll have a good time. #boardgames

All this setup just for a solo game of Endless Winter: Paleoamericans. The solo is rather easy but can be scaled up. Lots of modules to add or remove. It hasn’t hit the table in a while so here we are.

I finally got to open the spoiler pack in Vantage. That is not what I was expecting. Such an interesting game. I have truly enjoyed every single play of it. Thanks @stonemaiergames.com for creating such an fantastic experience.

Another solo game of grove by Mark Tuck. A rare win for me in this compact and quick solo game. For some reason, I’m hungry for citrus now. #boardgames

This is going to take a while but I’m excited to learn Red Dust Rebellion by @gmtgames.bsky.social and J. from @3mbg.bsky.social. It’s been sitting unplayed for too long; now is the time.
What unplayed games do you have sitting around?

I almost never play 2-player board games, so I have largely ignored/missed all the duel games. However, picked up Lords of the Rinds:Duel for Middle Earth. I really enjoy the multiple methods for winning and the light rules overhead. It’s a winner. #boardgames

Chits everywhere! My first game of Space Empires 4X by @gmtgames.bsky.social. The rules are very procedural and fairly straightforward. I haven’t had this much fun filling out a table (economic phase) in a long time.

Oof. I don’t think I get how to play Serpent Slumbering Beneath the Island. Spirit Island will always be one of my favorites though. #boardgames

Devir’s response to the Ace of Spades debacle was a good example of how to quickly admit fault and rectify a problem. It also reminded me that I needed to give The White Castle another chance. Played solo against the fan-made Gingkogawa bot. I enjoyed it much more this time around. #boardgames

I’m being hypocritical here. I was just complaining about overly deluxe components but I do love metal coins. The coins for Vantage are amazing and I’ll use for all sci-fi games. However, the metal coins for Carson City are phenomenal.

My kids asked us to take #Flamecraft on vacation and then didn’t want to play. Fine. Solo mode it is. #Boardgames

Why not? I have enjoyed all ofthese games…except Uno. Darn children.

Cada partida de Vantage de @stonemaiergames.com es completamente diferente. En una, pasé el tiempo explorando montañas nevadas. En la siguiente, exploré las cuevas. ¡Qué juego tan encantador! #juegosdemesa #boardgames

Vantage by @stonemaiergames.com has been very enjoyable. I don’t like campaign games so the ability to explore the world through small one-off encounters is favorable. This picture is from the end of my longest game so far. Games have ranged from 15 to 90 minutes so far (solo) #boardgames

Quiz time: Here is a bag of cardboard pieces from games where I upgraded the components. Which games can you identify?
I don’t feel good about seeing this.

2nd printing of Earthborne Rangers is here. I don’t think that it’s possible to fail at petting a dog in real life, but apparently my Ranger has some real issues…. #boardgames

I think the deluxe version of Andromeda’s Edge pushed me over the edge with too many ridiculously overdone components. I have more recently been enjoying simple component games with great gameplay. A solo game of La Granja today (non-deluxe version). #boardgames #soloboardgaming

I’m generally not a fan of “cute” games and especially not “cozy” games but I do enjoy Flamecraft every once in a while. I think it’s much deeper gameplay than I give it credit for. #boardgames

Grove remains one of my most played solo games. I’m not very good at it most of the time but I always enjoy it. #Boardgames
