Reading through Tom King's Batman run for the first time and... you're telling me people don't like this?!?! God DAMN this is good. His characterisations of Bruce's supporting cast--Selina, Clark, Damien, Dick--is especially amazing

In anticipation for Metroid Prime 4, I've been replaying the Metroid Prime Trilogy on Wii... I love these games and even take notes while playing, but damn Metroid Prime 2 REALLY loves to confuse me! I've spent far too long wandering aimlessly, searching for the right room to progress...

Walked out of Omniplex's Secret Screening last night 😬 Let's just say there's an upcoming release that is - generously - not worth your time. Not even a little bit of it.

Just finished the best damn novella I've read in years: Danny Coughlin's Bad Dream by Stephen King. Literally stayed up til all hours of the night to finish it. A simple premise executed perfectly.

Coming to the end of Far Sector and oh my god... SO GOOD. An immaculately crafted sci-fi murder mystery that requires no previous reading--this is my first Green Lantern story!

I... I did it... And it only took 12 days! Heralds be thanked I don't have to wait for book 5!

Today, I begin Rhythm of War by Brandon Sanderson. This copy has been sitting on my shelf since last summer so this weekend of reading is long overdue.

"I wasn't going to read One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez--one of the most famous novels of all time--until I found out there's a Netflix adaptation! Now I know it MUST be good!" - Some idiot somewhere probably

Currently reading The Creeper by A.M. Shine and wow... I didn't know what to expect but his writing is so deliciously CRUNCHY and the horror is so simple yet effective...

HOW MANY of you knew that Macaulay Culkin changed his middle name to Macaulay Culkin so that his full name is Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin and DIDN'T TELL ME.

Life goal achieved: getting to write a little book recommendation to go on the shelf in the bookshop I now work at!

Currently reading a collection of Star Wars comics from Marvel set between episodes 4 and 5. They're actually amazing! Love these Modern Era Epic Collections. Highlight so far is Vader discovering who Luke really is...

I got a box set of Sherlock Holmes books for Christmas and am absolutely delighted by this old-timey spelling of 'canyon'

This might be a silly question, but who is this woman on the cover of #Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson (the Gollancz edition)? Shallan? Jasnah? Azure?
December 23, 2024 at 10:52 PM
#Oathbringer Part One down... only 750 pages to go before I'm caught up with what I've already read and can move on to Rhythm of War! Want be to done #WindandTruth by Christmas...
December 21, 2024 at 12:09 PM
Not quite what I was going for, but I DID wake up at 2am no longer possessing the capacity for sleep and have been reading #Oathbringer by #BrandoSando for about 3 hours, so that's something.

I love these absolutely nightmarish sketches in #Oathbringer

Choosing only one Pokémon from each type is such a fun challenge, but these are my GUYS. Would take a Razor Leaf for any one of them.

18% of the way through #Oathbringer Part One. I literally go into a trance when I read #StormlightArchive... It flies by like a Highstorm.
December 9, 2024 at 3:56 PM
I currently have the VERY reasonable goal of catching with #StormlightArchive before I'm swamped in a deluge of new books on Christmas Day. Is this possible? 😅 My #Oathrbringer re-read starts now...
