So the knives are out for Michael Martin. McGuinness and Lahart both calling for change in FF leadership. I suspected something would happen after the election but not as quick as this.

So the early tallies for #aras25 are showing a comprehensive victory for @catherinegalway.bsky.social

I thought this was going to be a referendum on the government but the Humphreys campaign made it a referendum on divisive politics. Glad to see the Irish people rejected that very comprehensively

I can't keep listening to Heather Humphreys crowbar in the same sound bytes over and over again, "it's a rural pursuit", "I'm sorry I didn't live up to what they expected". The fact she can't say anything without using a rehearsed sound bytes underlines why she shouldn't be president. #aras25

The knives will be out for Michael Martin now, Brian Kelleher was the obvious FF man to run, Gavin was Michael Martins candidate. #aras25

I think the clear thing this debate has shown is that it's a referendum on the government. Connolly is able to speak freely on topics, both Gavin and Humphrey struggling to get canned answers out that don't offend their friends in government. #aras25 #TonightVMTV

In relation to the occupied territories bill and why the government is endlessly delaying it, Humphrey says "but would it really matter". Sums up our governments real opinion on taking concrete action against an ongoing genocide #aras25 #TonightVMTV

So the first part of the debate has really shown that Humphrey's and Gavin really look uncomfortable. They're desperate to avoid going against the party line but also to avoid ignoring the question. Connolly has had the most natural reactions and has actually answered questions #aras25 #TonightVMTV

The speed that misinformation was spread about what happened in #Carlow yesterday is another example of the weaponisation of social media by the far right. I wish people who get influenced by far right narratives would be introspective about what they believe before the actual facts are known

I do hope that @gavreilly.com will start posting more on Bluesky and less on Twitter. I really enjoy your your content but I can't go to that site anymore.

If this #exitpoll for #ge24 is accurate, this would be FF's second worst GE result ever. Could this be the end of MM leadership of FF? #GE2024

Just voted in DBN in #ge24, turnout seemed good according to my local election workers, from the two pages that I saw there were only 10 or 15 names who hadn't been crossed out.
