To be fair, that system was my old music production system that I repurposed as my sound library server for Vienna. While mostly consumer, the x99 chipset on that board did allow me to upgrade to a decent Xeon at one point.
The new Thinkstation I moved to has more legs but yes you are correct lol.

I agree with @nettopotter.bsky.social . You're doing fine and each of us finish the race of life in our own way and own pace.
It's nice to consider everyone else's expectations, but indulging in that for too long will drive you crazy. So, concentrate on yourself and your own happiness first.
