There was no deal! They didn't get a bad deal, they got no deal! Weeks and weeks of pain for NOTHING. All we needed our leadership to do was *nothing* and they couldn't even manage that.

They did not cave when SNAP was cut off for the poor, but as soon as air travel became inconvenient for the wealthy, Dems tossed aside the average American who just wanted affordable health care.

They aren't going to stop him because they support what he is doing. I appreciate the optimism but people need to stop expecting them to be righteous. This is everything they have dreamed of. Republicans aren't going to save us here.

It's not that we are used to it, it's that we need leadership to emerge and it's just not happening. We are all sitting home alarmed ready to push back and no one is organizing more than protest marches with cute signs every few months.

The idea that teeth need separate insurance than the rest of your body is just so wrong. Force medical insurance to cover dental work, that would at least attempt to solve the problem.

People boycotted Qatar due to their bigoted policies, but there was far less fear of detainment or being disappeared there than in the US right now. I am sure the games in Canada and Mexico will be well attended and expensive.

It costs FAR more to take the train from Boston to NYC than to drive and pay for parking. A tank of gas, tolls, and overnight parking costs about the same as a one way train ticket.

What will it take for you to realize that they WANT this?? They want to dismantle the government. They aren't going to come around to logic because this has been their goal all along.

It's not even that it's more expensive- the flights don't exist. You go Friday AM or have an overnight connection somewhere and don't arrive until midday Saturday. It's impossible to just do a weekend trip for a couple of days/nights someplace warm midwinter.

I listen to a Diabolical Lies podcast that explained part of the allure of TikTok was an algorithm based on things you wanted to see rather than things that would enrage you to get more clicks, and there is much correlation with that and why I like Bluesky.
