Designer, failed rockstar occasional artist. Facinated by people and whatever happens to catch my imagination. Bit of a capsaicin habit. Chepstow - ish.

The gulls drift
squealing like hinges
in the broken air.
Heavy waves,
grey and glassy
under cloud filled skies,
rush the sand.

For those in need of a smile, a reminder that one 19th-century name for a penguin was ‘arsefoot’.

This chap has been coming every morning for over a year, we think he was abandoned as first turned up on his own when very small. He now trusts us (a bit), it’s a herring gull and will not be an adult until 3. They live for twenty years. This is him watching us though patio windows today

So paid extra to have a window seat (bad enough in itself) but this was my window. Thank you Ryan Air.

Fell in love with this chap today at Gormleys Fine Art today. Stunning life size bronze of an Irish Wolfhound. If I had a spare €50k I would have bought him.

Little exhibition in the Bank of Ireland in memory of Seamus Heaney.

His last words were 'Noli Timere' (Latin for 'Don't Be Afraid') sent as a text to his wife.

Must have been to Dublin over thirty times but had never visited the National Gallery, it’s absolutely incredible. Everything from Ancient Classical art up to today. One of my favourite artists, bit like Marmite I know, but I like him. I think.

Off to Dublin, been there many many times before (Irish mother) but if anyone knows of something new I should see (or may have missed before) let me know!

My Uncle Joes old place of work around 1970 before moving on to Trinity College, literally just across the road. Guess he didn’t like to travel!

Watched an old DVD (remember them) last night, bought for 50p in local charity shop. Wonderful acting by Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman.
