Duolingo only takes you so far. I know how to say hallo in German. I know how to order food and drink. I know how to ask if someone reads books. Should cover most bases. I'm almost ready for a trip to Deutschland and full linguistic immersion. "Ich heiße Kevin. Ich kann nur ein bisschen Deutsch." ✔️

Just finished watching Mulholland Drive. Was swept once more into David Lynch's mysterious enigmas, his hall of mirrors and alternate realities. This movie really is one of the great treasures of 21st Century art. Pushes deeper into your psyche & gets better with every viewing. #filmsky #moviesky

Totally immersed in this book by Tamsin Mather I got for Xmas. Fascinated by detailed chapter on Santorini in Greece. Not just cataclysmic Minoan eruption of 1600 BC but further back then up to present. Santorini aint done yet. Slowly rebuilding for next Big One. (Spoiler: not soon) #volcanoes 🌋
