It's not minimizing at all if the politicians and enforcement agencies behind this obscenity are planning to do something similar.

The DOGE cuts were a smokescreen to provide cover for a massive, debt-financed tax break to the wealthy, while also raising taxes on the lower and middle classes.

And at the same time, the US is producing record amounts of oil. We are going backwards. All of Europe can go net zero and it won't matter if China and the US keep this up. We are on track for societal collapse.

But it's worse than that even. Bezos' empire relies on US infrastructure, roads, bridges, railways. But he and Amazon avoid the taxes that pay for those things. The very definition of a parasite.
