The old guard give way and support younger, more progressive candidates who generate their own traction. Newsome, Walz, AOC. I include Booker, people who vigorously communicate positive vision. Others can emerge. Complete overthrow of DNC. Clinton and Reagan stormed in w positivity to draw turnout.
