Likewise just followed you... plus you liked my citation of Tony Benn used to illustrate the futility of Blue Labour!

We all have our different talents and energies, but the question is how to play this polycrisis across G20 / western Europe?
November 16, 2025 at 5:53 PM
A massive weight of responsibility now falls on your shoulders, @zackpolanski.bsky.social

Not only Blue Labour imitating Bluekip but also Your Party tripping up every week

Greens will soon be a clear 2nd in the polls and you'll need to up your game!
November 16, 2025 at 5:37 PM
Polanski couldn't have designed a better launch and introductory journey to the new Green proposition!

Blue Labour mimic Reform whilst Corbyn spend five years thinking up... this!

Greens will be delighted to accept another 100,000 members & perhaps some SCG MPs too?!

But NOT Your Party leaders
November 16, 2025 at 5:32 PM
What does he even mean by "Labour getting its act together"?

Blue Labour gov't is driven by polls from the Red Wall, not principles

Greens continue to flourish & the landscape will look very different after next May's elections

Starmer & McSweeney will attempt to cling on to power but...

Waiting lists coming down under Labour but it takes a wide range of activities to continue this reduction

Public needs more tech & monitoring & education
Social Care hasn't been addressed even though that takes up 15% of beds!

And NHS needs more staff & equipment NOT more pay for the richest!
November 13, 2025 at 8:55 PM
Save PM or secure succession once budget & May '26 election defeat land?

Blue Labour focus on fighting the Left, not delivering a serious policy platform shows they are unfit to run 🇬🇧

Polls are very clear on this

Target Corbyn, but ignore why millions voted Labour GE2017/19

Polanski cleans up!
November 12, 2025 at 4:58 PM
Who appoints and who are the runners?
This is a big opportunity for the Gov't to redress the slide over the last 15 years.

Should they fail, or refuse, then what?
November 9, 2025 at 10:39 PM
The polling and the lack of political vision are so spectacularly bad, it's great!

Meanwhile Polanski has increased Green polling by 5 points... a 50% increase

Matters not... until they hit 20% and become the second highest

2026 requires the Fine Gael hack deposed!
October 20, 2025 at 11:06 PM
Polls
Reform = 30% + Tory 16% = 46%
This Bluekip number stable for a decade except during 2016 & GE2019

Poll of those who still think Brexit a good idea 35%

Time Blue Labour stepped down!

🇷🇺 struggling with economy & military... but has a vast nuclear arsenal... so needs to be contained

But let's not miss the interesting part of our future: where are China & India headed by 2035?!
October 17, 2025 at 1:31 AM
Some might want to wish away AI and drones but anybody paying attention to the 🇷🇺 🇺🇦 war will be aware of the rapid tech developments

As well as 🇫🇮 & 🇸🇪 joining NATO

Should 🇬🇧 align with Scandis, Baltic states and Poland when it comes to defence, or not?!

🇷🇺 running a hybrid war - let's not be naive
October 17, 2025 at 1:20 AM
Suspect that the problem is subtly different

NATO countries invaded Iraq then arranged assassination of Qadaffi in Libya

So "Stop the war" sounds legit

Roll on to 🇷🇺 invasion 🇺🇦 and Stop the War using Putin talking points re cease fire etc

Polanski building rapidly & taking in Labour MPs but...
October 17, 2025 at 1:09 AM
How did the Tory party collapse? Slowly at first, then suddenly!

The only open question is where do their votes go, Reform, Labour or won't vote GE2029!
September 17, 2025 at 11:07 AM
One can but agree about Blue Labour actions / inactions, but to personalise misses the point and also certain remedies!

1st 🇬🇧 needs growth not cuts
2nd asylum technical fixes are in the bag => rapid backlog reduction => end hotels NOT leave ECHR
3rd PR & BBC change essential
4th...

Exactly
Polanski position both naive and populist
"We must leave NATO [ 🇪🇺] because the world is changing and there are defects in post WW2 settlement"
September 2, 2025 at 4:26 PM
Tory Government left a backlog of 100,000+ asylum claims by allowing more small boat crossings AND collapsing the asylum processing

The solution is simple!

Speed up processing then appeals => backlog down every qtr

Blue Labour silent on 60-70% claims succeeding => asylum seekers are not illegal!

All actors in the economy seek to protect their own interests

But what of those on lower incomes who have already suffered significant losses since the start of the decade?

Labour requires joined up JAM thinking & action before GE2029

Anybody playing such a big part in landing the Belfast GFA should be at the heart of ALL critical mission challenges in this 2024-29 polycrisis!

So many opportunities to grow GDP, navigate global arena, as well as shift the Overton window
August 21, 2025 at 10:59 AM
You are certainly communicating a clear message that enthuses many and 🇬🇧 is indeed a rich country

All the best in your campaign and the ensuing battle to grow your support

However, you may wish to consider whether it's wise to walk away from the post WWII settlement because "it's complex"
July 27, 2025 at 4:25 PM
Employment up to 75.2% & wages up 5%... minimum wage up far more plus BoE rates set for 3.75% by end of year

What might that all do for tax take & household consumption?

Perhaps no "black hole" and debt:GDP stable? So important to ensure growth
July 17, 2025 at 3:39 PM
More people working together with a 5% increase in wages => a significant increase in tax take, some reduction in benefits paid AND potentially a large increase in household expenditure!

Throw in two BoE interest rate drops and the 🇬🇧 economy might be much healthier than some like us to think
July 17, 2025 at 12:27 PM
And that's how our democracy works!

Starmer and Reeves need to soften their stance before they have a massive rebellion on their hands

Just like WFA we're talking buttons compared to £1.3TRN Gov't budgets
June 20, 2025 at 8:15 AM
The picture can and will change over the coming months

Backbench MPs need to work out which benefits to stand up for
June 16, 2025 at 8:03 PM
We're in the midst of a fascinating political and economic puzzle!

This has nothing to do with having to cut benefits and everything to do with a wide range of variables that will affect the big picture

BoE needs to reduce rates
NHS lists coming down
Gov't needs growth & reduced interest costs
Etc
