Ouch! My 2 baby girls keep running from me! 😲
Pinned
I’m finding ways to recover from burnout and a lack of motivation earlier this year.

One way is to sign up for races!

Need some personal, fitness goals to bring my energy back (it’s working!)

This is me finishing a 16km trail run today 😁
I do not expect my 4-year-old to know so much.

I really think behavior and words like these (what exactly? Parents would know) come much later, maybe like 6

Can’t believe I have to deal with these now

Allocating some time this week to figure out how to use AI to help me level up my content game but …

Focus on getting my tone and style across as much as possible

Not an easy one. Will report back my findings

Of cos I don’t expect it to do all the work for me. Mostly just ideating and drafting.

I canceled Framer and built my personal site with Cursor & AI.

The data usage of this site is pretty low so (I think) the hosting is almost free on Vercel!

I'm having fun building different things with AI now :)

Can’t help but think DeepSeek is such a good name.

My mum has been saying it and I can’t help but laugh every time.

I’m able to use AI to build games with my 4yo so that my 2yo can play and learn.

This is super cool. I really think AI will change how we learn.

Reading the market > building a value ladder of offers

Has anyone been part of a course where they play games (or group activities) during live sessions?
January 23, 2025 at 2:08 PM
To be fair, I think a lot of courses don’t see action from the students because it’s just so hard to participate.

If we can build learning experiences like we’re building for kids, I’m sure participation will skyrocket.

I realized people in their 30s are so nice.

Like when I met new people in my 20s I felt like I needed to perform. I needed to be cool.

Now in my 30s meeting people in their 30s, most people are so vulnerable, open-minded, and caring.

Is it just me?

Still can’t wrap my mind around new parents who say they want to wait until the baby can communicate to finally bond with them

Been thinking a lot and I think I know why most online education (actually any education) sucks.

We dumb it down too much for the students and it becomes boring.

The key is to make it challenging enough that it is fun and not too challenging that it is overwhelming ...

I have 2 daughters and I know how to get them to be more independent.

Bascially when they are with mom, they are all needy and stuff.

With me, they do most things themselves lol

So basically it is removing mom from the equation.

Was commuting today and realized it is all about reading.

- Reading books
- Reading the room
- Reading where the world is heading

You have to struggle to learn, but most courses don't give you enough struggle.

You know what’s strange?

So TikTok is not working in the US now, but it hasn’t been working in Hong Kong for so many years 😅

Wow I got many replies from the newsletter I sent out today -

because of THIS change:

- I stopped thinking it’s a newsletter
- I focused all my energy on the topic I want discuss
- I wrote just a few lines and share that essay via a link

Who would have thought?

Just read about the fire in LA.

I really can’t imagine losing the house and everything and have to restart like that.

Sending love to all the families that are affected there!

We see course sales on a decline.

You'd think the "course industry" is dying, but actually there's no such thing as the course industry.

A course is just a tool to pass on knowledge. Like marketing, it's how you use it in your industry.

Plus, many still sell lots of courses.

Thoughts on the last day of 2024:

My dream is to free up my time so that I can <read + absorb> so I can <think + process> so I can <share + help>.

Sounds easy but it is not - requires the de-attachment of time and work.

2025, bring it on!

They got me! 😱

So many people recommending books these few days so I'm going to read.

Got a few in mind:

1. Good Energy
2. The Comfort Crisis
3. The Anxious Generation
4. Read Write Own
5. The Automatic Customer
6. The Courage to be Disliked

Happy Christmas everyone!

This year my Xmas gift to my wife was a spa experience for two.

I felt like 2 hours of quiet, intimate time beats any gift, especially when she could "get away" from the kids ha!

I hope you also have a cozy time with your loved ones )

Robotaxi is going to be a thing for sure.

I'm curious what we will do in the car — create content? Watch movies? Chat with friends?

What do you think?

Friendly reminder that you have 4 days left to set your new year resolutions that last for 4 days.

Go get them 💪 😜 😂

We're traveling with the girls tomorrow ...

Parents: 1 jacket, 1 pair of jeans, and 1 pair of shoes.

Kids: 5 outfits, 7 toys, 9 snacks, and half the house.
