Some people act like there is a fixed number of enemies you can get into combat within an RPG before either the enemies are assumed to be dehumanized or the PCs are assumed to be the bad guys now.

How much of it do you think it is that the very human designs of the Star Trek aliens limit how much body modding can be done without people asking if Vulcans are alien enough to originate from another planet. I ask because I have seen you say you would fix it by giving up on the aliens entirely.
