I am trying not to flatten people like this empathetically because in part I think my JOB is to understand how people tick, but this genuinely stumps me. Does loneliness really extend for these people from a sense that they haven't talked about themselves enough lately? That's... Unspeakably grim.

I don't need the monster to be describable itself, really. But if that's the case you better give me a concrete description of something I can latch onto (the mental/physical sensation of seeing the thing, setting, sound, etc) that makes me feel what you're going for. That's called "mood", bud
