Even if you (wrongly) believe oil and gas can be extracted without worsening climate change, there is no possible reasonable argument you could make that other companies should be actively prevented from building out solar and wind as additional options.

Still plenty of anger though.

I know that is completely unsurprising, but it's still sad every time we have to watch it unfold.

It probably seems like tariffs are just the latest buzzword that people are latching onto but there is actually a good reason to focus on them more in the near future - they are one of the relatively small number of hugely impactful things a POTUS can do immediately and unilaterally.
