But even at $200m I bet Apple gets a good return for its investment. The theatrical box office might reach that amount (because of foreign markets). And the 5 hour version on Apple+ is probably better. The main lesson, theatrical audiences want spectacle of shared experiences and big name creators.

Something I didn’t realize is that there were black and Jewish civil rights lawyers who took up the cause of Japanese-Americans at its beginning. I’m wondering if it was one of those lawyers.
