We are warming our planet with increasingly severe effects. Vaccines & masks are effective public health measures. Misinformation & disinformation are societal threats. Calling tRump or pierre poiLIEvre supporters stupid is an insult to stupid people.
We are experiencing the effects of decades of declining standards in formal education - anti-vaxxers, anti-maskers & anthropogenic global warming deniers/trivializers.

Oops, typo - "frighting crime" = fighting crime - lol.

"Alec & Shanna" were frighting crime using a computer with 4 to 64 kilobytes of RAM - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TRS-80 . It could have been worse. At least those TRS-80s did not require vacuum tubes or punch cards. 😅

The officer testified that the sandwich “exploded all over” his chest & that he could smell mustard & onions - essentially condiment shrapnel! The officer said he could feel the impact of the sandwich THROUGH his tactical vest. Sandwiches are the gateway weapons to water balloons & nerf blasters. 😂

I just finished reading it a few days ago and loved it - very well written. 🫠

"The UNEP's 2025 Emissions Gap report has found that global average temperatures will exceed 1.5 C (2.7 F) before 2035..." & "Nations remain far from meeting the Paris Agreement goal..." - www.livescience.com/planet-earth... . NDC targets are promises which are not being fully met. ☹️
It's official: The world will speed past 1.5 C climate threshold in the next decade, UN says
The UNEP's 2025 Emissions Gap report has found that global average temperatures will exceed 1.5 C (2.7 F) before 2035 — and this just days before the COP30 climate summit kicks off in Brazil.

"Still a chance to return to 1.5C climate goal"? Sure but while we're discussing highly unlikely probabilities, there's also a chance that I'll soon be dating a Victoria Secrets model. The probability of either outcome is a non-zero number... with several zeroes to the right of the decimal point. 😅

The novel "The Great Gatsby" shows how the middle- & working-classes are exploited by the wealthy upper class. In that sense, tRump's Mar-a-Lago party's Gatsby theme was entirely accurate but that is not a compliment - it's an indictment.

Gates criticized focusing “on near-term emissions” & also wrote "...to make sure that the overshoot is as short as possible & as low in intensity as possible..." Near-term emission reductions are ESSENTIAL to minimize overshoot. Gates is contradicting himself. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Wow - that report was more than a decade before Exxon's initial internal verifications of anthropogenic global warming in the late 1970s - www.science.org/doi/10.1126/... . With those and other warnings, we've known for so long but failed to act with due urgency...
Assessing ExxonMobil’s global warming projections
ExxonMobil’s own climate models showed that fossil fuel use would cause climate warming.

tRump's previous disapproval rating was 62% in January 2021 BUT people voted for him anyways in 2024. Voters were short on memory & intelligence. 37% still support him now. Considering everything he's done this year it's disappointing that his support is still double digits.

From those signs - "Batman unfair to marriage"... and Batgirl? Apparently those protesters missed the subtle psychological messaging of a middle-aged man who obviously prefers the company of a younger guy who wears tights. C'mon people - you don't have to be Sigmund Freud to figure out this one. 🤣

From the cover: "I'd rather lead a love crusade to your heart" - so profound & not at all schmaltzy. 😂

Why does that bird need money? Drugs? Gambling? High-class call girls (or high-class call hens - more likely)? That cover art raises so many questions. 😂

Biden won easily in the 2020 Electoral College but by only 4.5% in the popular vote despite tRump's disastrous 1st term. That meant the EC votes were individually tight & could flip - as they did in 2024. tRump should never have won a 1st term, let alone a 2nd & many people still haven't learned.

Given the actions of the GOP nationally this year, it's depressing that almost half of those polled in Virginia (45.2%) STILL support the GOP, despite the Dem's lead. In a rational society, support for the GOP should be next to nothing at this point.
