GMs are the ones who are more frequently in the owner’s ear. Coaches are with the team. So any GM can place the blame on the coach. Also if you hire a new GM, first thing they want to do is bring in their own guy to coach. So if you fire the coach, you only need to make one hire.

The problem is someone also needs to fix the bad theater experience. If a theater only showed 8mins worth of trailers, no ads, and made prices like 10-15% less. I would go all the time. $46 for 2 regular format tickets, with 30min of pre-movie videos, and $14 popcorn really stinks.

The sad part is 5 years could be optimistic. Feels like they could go into a vortex where they pick 7-12th every year, keep letting Drury do whatever it is that’s he’s doing for a couple more years, and everything stays jammed up with no path until 2030. Then a rebuild starts.

All the down ballot D wins in places like this really makes it seem like Long Island is a lost cause for democrats. Really would love to know what’s driving that.

The problem is this all just feels like we’re yelling at a cloud. Dolan saw what Drury has done since he took over and gave him an extension. There’s no getting out of this. We’re stuck with guys over 30 who aren’t what they were, bad signings like Borgen, and no depth. Good luck to Igor and Fox.

They ran this play in the original primary he ran for New York Assembly. He was running against a machine incumbent dem. I got lots of mailers. It didn’t work!
