The issue with the free version is H.264/265 video codec is not supported.

Same with AAC audio codec.

Depends on your workflow, if that would cause issues.

Rule of thumb with the free version on Linux, if your missing the video/audio, it's an unsupported codec...

GPU I think is Studio, not sure.

Davinci Resolve on Linux runs really well, only issue with the free version is the limited codec support.

Mint does it's called the Software Manager, it can be used to install both native and flatpaks.

The Update Manager can be used to install updates for both as well.

Still can't understand this line of "you need to use the command line to install software..."
