Good point! That is also why battery companies use high-Ni cathodes rather than LFP to work with Niobium based anodes.

LFP/Gr are used in Chinese e-trucks. High power and fast charging of Niobium based anodes can help e-trucks. NCM/NTO claim similar VED to LFP but lower WED.

I think for PBA the best data of cycle life should be less/around 4000. For LFP, it may not be as high as what many Chinese manufacturers claim, but now still higher than SIB.

doubt the current 8000 cycles of PBA.

Battery manufacturing is not easy that is why focus is so important. NV would like to become another CATL even bigger. In add to batteries mfg, NV investing in upstream/SSB/SIB/recycling/making cathode, developing energystorage. But CATL wasn't built in a day.

Guess their yield rate is quite low.

The EU can definitely require whatever they want but 1) Chinese companies can decide/whether are allowed to do this 2) how to define “technological knowhow” given battery manufacturing is super complex with a lot of details 3) battery technology is evolving fast
