This deal was reported on and exposed by @sethabramson.bsky.social a long time ago, wasn't it? I've been browsing these emails and I keep thinking, "Seth wrote about this already..." in so many of the topics and persons in them. Nice to see the receipts now.

What's funny now is that with the advent of voter data info apps, I get GOP candidates knocking on my door because they think I'm a Republican household, according to my primary voting record. I've surprised several with some choice questions and concerns on my front porch, lol.

As an independent voter in a deep red state (SC), I routinely vote in GOP primaries, sometimes there are NO other party candidates running in the general election for that position. Also, if there's a real wacko running, I can vote against them to help avoid them moving on to the general.

Hell, I've been writing about music for 35 years and there are still some fairly prolific bands I have missed out on. I long ago resigned myself to the fact that I cannot, in fact, listen to EVERYTHING. Still gonna try, of course.
