Thank you for caring. In every sense.

And it has one of the most unique 'hero defeats the villain' moments too for the finale.

I will continue to rave about this film until the day i'm nailed shut in my box.

Why do I even bother at this point?

But as the years go by and the more I come to realise how truly fucked up a lot of what happened was, the less I care about what people might think of such a memoir. It is what was. However inconvenient it might be to your headcanon.

For now I guess they're all ideas left on the shelf.

"Until..."

Someone immediately said they didn't care what I said as the rep because I was "not Japanese" therefore whatever I said wasn't valid. More fool me for trying to help, I guess.

But that stuck with me. No matter what you're 'not one of them' which was fun, because they thought the exact same thing.

I remember clearly when I tried to explain on the SEGA forum how various timeline events were considered canon or not.

(The summary being it was always in flux as Sonic Team didn't care about such things - BUT certain events HAD to be canon just because if you didn't others couldn't happen.)

I don't honestly know what to do about those thoughts.

The memoir I know no one would really care about and I'd just have a gaggle of Sonic fans challenging every aspect of things they couldn't possibly know, including my personal history, just because it doesn't match 'their idea' for it.

It honestly feels like the appropriate analogy. Just because there's so much people *don't* know - and the contrast between the two viewpoints is so striking.

Two halves from two points of view; presumably me and Svend but with some additional material... some 'connective tissue'... from Adam and Rory perhaps?

I always have Sonic Adventure 2's hero/light side and dark side stories in mind when thinking of this book.

But then how would you do that? A book loosely collating stories from EVERYONE - little moments of memory and fandom bound by the event over the course of a decade? Or do you present it as a more serious story.
