I stumbled upon this 1996 AMC (some of you may recall when it was American Movie Classics) commercial, advertising both the Todd-AO and CinemaScope versions of Oklahoma! just the other day.

So apparently, the actress who played the Banshee of Knocknasheega in Darby O'Gill and the Little People was also Carlotta Valdes in Vertigo (both uncredited)

Joanne Genthon (who later married Ray Eberle and retired) was also one of Agnes de Mille's dancers in the 1955 film adaptation of Oklahoma!

This reminds me of an innocuous Google search I did for Gertrude Lawrence in her "Shall We Dance?" dress some years back, where I stumbled upon this extraordinarily juicy story of her daughter Pamela walking in on Gertie and Yul Brynner during the run of The King and I.

Gertrude Lawrence's funeral at the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church was the hottest ticket on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 1952 (Literally: tickets were available by contacting her lawyer, Fanny Holtzmann's office)

Dietrich attended, Rodgers & Hammerstein gave eulogies & Dorothy Sarnoff (OG Lady Thiang) sang.

Tidbit from Gertrude Lawrence’s NY Times obituary: The King and I producers requested that the company and crew not acknowledge the unexpected death of their star in the presence of the performers.

Well, I did not anticipate a NYT critic's pick here. 👀

This On the Town recording was supposed to make its CD premiere as part of the Sony West End series in the early '90s. Except they used the master tapes for the 1960 studio recording we all know and love by mistake.

The OLC ultimately didn't get a CD/digital release until 2014.

Pauline Collins was also in the cast of Passion Flower Hotel, a cheeky 1965 British musical that I can best describe as Henry, Sweet Henry meets The Life (affectionate)

Jane Birkin, Francesca Annis (who introduced "How Much of the Dream Comes True?" in it), Karin Fernald, and Jean Muir co-starred.
