Feels good. I don't know how a company can thrive when there's so much animus towards it, and so many people feel like they're being ripped off. They've made some great products. But it was like an abusive relationship, staying in it too long because there were good times.

I think we’re personally safe at the moment. But holy hell this fire is big, and basically all around us. A number of people we know have evacuated and are just hoping they’ll have a home to go back to. Long night, with no end in sight.

e.g. the 'orthogrid' vs 'frustumgrid' nearly-identical-settings. I understand the words (ortho vs frustum), but I don't have an overview of how/why this feature renders or what it means in this context.

It's also hard to visualize how all these components go together. So for my own purposes I'm trying to do big picture organizational stuff for the topics I'm working on, so I can both organize my focus as I learn new tools, but also to store all my notes/reference materials as I write things down.

e.g. I get scrambled on many in-engine things, so I have my own notes. Like how to spawn foliage (pic). I wish that if I searched the documentation for 'foliage', a brief description would pop up, along with something like this, maybe written less colloquially. :)
