Thanks…I just recently got the Cyr and Wallace Goodman book that definitely looks promising. I’m still looking for a good book that does both. Lately I’ve been using a book more focused on design and supplementing readings on qual methods. It’s for an undergrad w/no prior experience methods course

to paraphrase slightly...elect clowns expect a circus. The idea in the US that somehow politician = bad and amateur/outsider = good is so old and stupid. you wouldn't call an outsider to fix your plumbing or want a novice pilot to fly your plane, why do you want someone like that to run government?
